My Cousin Tony

I attended the funeral of my cousin Tony this afternoon. He was 56 years old. Just over 2 years ago he was diagnosed with colon cancer. While at his funeral service, his Pastor talked about life being a gift. In fact, he said every day is a gift and I agree. We are called to unwrap this gift each day to the glory of God! Opening this gift is a response to our baptismal call of priest, prophet and king. We are called to be disciples of God which first means we MUST have a relationship with Him. Within this relationship is the natural inclination to draw others to Jesus. To be a disciple is to have a relationship with Him and to bring others to Him. Each day is a gift where we are called to unwrap the power of the Holy Spirit in our life to the glory of God and the growth of the Kingdom!
